Diagram of the A0 value method with temperature and time progression

A0 Value Method

600 as the standard value for everyday hospital use, 3000 for particularly demanding care utensils, and virtually any other value can be freely set. Since the A0 value is composed of holding time and temperature, almost any desired disinfection intensity can be precisely mapped, even at lower temperatures for heat-sensitive materials.

Time-Temperature Method

Alternative to the A0 value method for determining the disinfection level according to EN ISO 15883-1: Instead of calculating the A0 value, a precisely defined combination of temperature and holding time is maintained, for example, 90 °C for 1 minute, 80 °C for 10 minutes, or 70 °C for 100 minutes. Each of these combinations corresponds to a proven, standard-compliant disinfection efficacy, also suitable for heat-sensitive materials.

3D illustration of bacteria as a symbol for Legionella prevention

Legionella Prevention

Programmable flushing cycles keep the water moving, thus preventing the formation of Legionella and other pathogens. This is particularly important in rarely used pipe sections where water would otherwise stagnate. The water volumes consumed during flushing programs are automatically deducted from the target volume, and compliance is documented in the data logger.

Stainless steel surface with water droplets symbolizing AquaDry drying

AquaDry Drying

Efficient steam condensation and cooling of care utensils to the desired temperature. Recontamination is prevented, as no drawn-in outside air comes into contact with the already disinfected utensils.

Adjustable Dispensing Temperature

Only in conjunction with AquaDry: The temperature at which the door opens for dispensing can be individually customized, rather than requiring staff to adhere to a fixed temperature level. This protects against scalding and can be adapted to the specific requirements of the ward.

Caregiver removes bowl with gloves from open DISCHER bedpan washer

Removal Delay

After the program ends, the door remains locked for a freely definable period before the medical receptacles can be removed. This allows time for draining and cooling, protecting staff from scalding and contact with hot surfaces.

Automatic door opening of a DISCHER bedpan washer with movement arrows

Automatic Door Opening

For low-contact operation without manual handling. A foot or elbow switch activates the automatic, servo-electric door opening. This reduces contact with potentially contaminated handle surfaces and decreases the risk of injury from pinched fingers during closing.

DISCHER Data Logger

The data logger records all operating parameters, ensuring maximum operational and device safety. For maximum reliability, two redundant data loggers record in parallel. If one fails, all process data remains completely preserved, permanently documented, and without data loss.

Valves and hoses with color markings of the energy-saving flushing system

Energy-Saving Flushing System

The division into multiple flushing circuits ensures that the same amount of water hits a smaller system. The resulting higher pressure cleans more thoroughly and efficiently, which means measurably lower water consumption combined with better cleaning performance. This reduces both drinking water consumption and operating costs in continuous use.
